Job summary

Edgeborough School is seeking a Learning Assistant to support pupils across the Prep School. The role is permanent, part-time (20 hours/week) during term time, with a salary of £12,992 actual per annum (£31,200 FTE).

You will work with teachers in the classroom and small groups to reinforce key skills, promote independence, and help pupils access the curriculum, contributing to a positive learning environment across the school.

Qualifications

• Good general standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics).
• Desirable: Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• First aid training or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils learning in the classroom and in small intervention groups with teaching staff.
• Reinforce key literacy and numeracy skills to aid curriculum access.
• Foster pupil confidence, independence, and positive attitudes to learning.
• Provide targeted support to pupils of varying abilities to secure progress.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment and wellbeing.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of learning resources and activities.
• Collaborate with teachers on assessment and progress tracking.
• Contribute to wider school life and pupil development.
