Edgbarrow School is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide in-class support to individual or small groups of students aged 11–18, under the direction of the class teacher. You will work to help students develop their potential, with numeracy and literacy skills emphasized.

Experience or qualification in the English curriculum would be an advantage, as would completing the DFE Teacher Assistant Induction programme.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills are essential for in-class support.
• Experience or qualification in the English curriculum is advantageous.
• Experience of working with or caring for children aged 11–18 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general in-class support to individual students or small groups.
• Assist the teacher to help students develop and achieve their potential.
• Support SENCO and contribute to a positive learning environment.
