Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking a part-time Purchasing and Payments Officer to join the Housing and Neighbourhood Service. The role is 21 hours across Tue, Wed and Fri, with a hybrid mix of home and office work.

Excellent accuracy, organisation and customer service are essential as you process requisitions, invoices and purchase orders using our finance system. Experience with a finance system is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to use a computer system to process requisitions, invoices and purchase orders.
• Experience with a finance system to process orders and payments preferred, training provided.
• Highly organized, proactive and able to prioritise with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process requisitions, invoices and purchase orders on the finance system.
• Deal with payment of utility bills and revenue spend purchases.
• Support day-to-day delivery with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work as part of a hybrid team with some home working and office days.
