Part Time HR Officer
Location: Cookstown
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time – circa 24-25 hours per week


We are hiring for our client, a leading manufacturer in the Cookstown area. They are seeking an experienced and proactive Part-Time HR Officer to support the daily operations of their HR department.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing exposure to recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and HR compliance.

The Role:

  • Assist with recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
  • Coordinate training and development programmes for staff
  • Support line managers with performance management and employee relations
  • Administer HR documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation
  • Support health & safety initiatives alongside the H&S team
  • Participate in HR projects, including employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for management

The Person:

  • Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Assistant, or similar role
  • CIPD qualification preferred
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR systems (HRIS)
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous
