Job summary

RoSPA is seeking a part-time HR Advisor (21 hours/week) to support the delivery of our people agenda in a collaborative HR team. Based in Birmingham with hybrid working, you will advise on employee relations, recruitment, payroll and HR data to keep people processes compliant and effective.

Reporting to the Head of People, you will help create an engaging, inclusive workplace where colleagues can develop, succeed and make a difference. A-Level or equivalent is required, with CIPD desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Advisor or similar role.
• Knowledge of current employment legislation and ACAS guidance.
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
• Experience producing and analysing HR data and MI.
• Experience supporting payroll processes and contracts changes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Support employee relations cases (disciplinary, absence, grievances).
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy.
• Support payroll processes and HR systems maintenance.
• Contribute to engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
