Job summary

Hightown Housing Association is seeking a part-time Homelessness Support Worker to join our compassionate team in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves assessing needs, creating personalised support plans and helping residents build independent living skills in Move-on accommodation.

You will work with others to promote safety, dignity and positive outcomes for adults aged 18+, with some lone working and a requirement for a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support is required.
• Ability to work independently and with occasional lone working.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and create personalised support plans.
• Promote independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting).
• Contribute to risk assessments and ongoing support plans.
• Support individuals to achieve goals and access opportunities with colleagues and external partners.
