Basingstoke Outreach is seeking a Temporary Housing Support Worker to assist people who have experienced homelessness. You will help maintain accommodation, build confidence and support independent living in a dynamic team.
The role requires empathy, resilience and excellent communication. A driving licence and enhanced DBS are essential, with some evening and weekend work and on-call duties paid extra.
LOCATION: Basingstoke
HOURS: 30hrs per week – 8am-4pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
SALARY: £13.50 + Holiday pay (£15.13)
DURATION: Temporary, at least 4-6 weeks
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our Basingstoke Outreach service.
You will support people who have experienced homelessness and may have complex needs, helping them maintain their accommodation, build confidence and resilience, and move towards long-term independent living.
This is a varied role involving both housing management and person‑centred support, working closely with partner agencies and other professionals.
We are looking for someone who isempathetic, resilient, confident and committed to supporting people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion.
Knowledge of homelessness, housing benefits, housing management or multi‑agency working would be advantageous.
A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is essential.
A full enhanced DBS, in‑date is essential.
