Job summary

Flourish Education in Tamworth is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a part-time role from September 2026 through to March 2026. You will cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, delivering pre-prepared lessons with no planning required, and supporting pupil engagement across a broad curriculum.

This role suits someone flexible and confident in leading whole-class sessions in the absence of the class teacher, with a healthy work/life balance and a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Experience covering classes within a primary school setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading a class.
• Flexible across EYFS–KS2 with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, KS2 in absence of class teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
• Support pupils’ learning and engagement across subjects.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet all learners' needs.
• Work with staff to ensure continuity across classes.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and activities.
