Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive Stratford school for a September start. The role involves delivering lessons when the class teacher is absent, leading booster sessions, and supporting pupils across EYFS to KS2, including SEN learners.

The ideal candidate has HLTA experience, is confident covering lessons, and possesses strong behaviour management and teamwork skills to thrive in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HLTA or strong teaching assistant experience.
• HLTA qualification is highly desirable.
• Confident covering lessons and leading groups.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Able to work with pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2 and SEN needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Lead small group interventions and booster sessions
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on school need
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom resources, and learning activities
• Support pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and senior leaders
