Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Nottingham from September, with day-to-day and longer-term placements available. You will deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS to KS2, run targeted interventions, adapt teaching to diverse needs and help pupils progress in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience.
• Experience delivering lessons to primary-aged pupils.
• Confidence in leading whole-class and small-group learning.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
• Patient, enthusiastic and flexible approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Proactive attitude towards personal learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Lead targeted interventions and small-group activities.
• Adapt learning to meet pupils' individual needs and abilities.
• Promote positive behaviour and foster an engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Support pupils to build confidence and achieve progress.
• Choose from day-to-day or longer-term placements.
• Gain valuable experience within a variety of school settings.
