Job summary

Castle Education is seeking dedicated SEND Support Assistants to work in a specialist SEND school in Harrogate, HG2. You will help students engage in learning, develop skills, and thrive in a caring, supportive environment.

Flexible part-time opportunities are available; long-term and permanent positions may arise. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments are required to ensure safe, high-quality support for children with autism and other needs.

Qualifications

• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Confidence and willingness to support students with personal care.
• Previous SEND, autism, complex needs or care experience is desirable but not essential.

At Castle Education we are seeking dedicated SEND Support Assistants/ SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEND school in Harrogate, HG2.

This school supports 155 students across 18 classes, including six Post-16 classes, with a range of complex needs, including autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and support staff to help students engage in learning, develop their skills, and achieve their potential.

You will help create a safe, supportive and engaging environment where every student is valued and supported to thrive.
