Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges group is seeking an Equine Yard Technician for our Equestrian Centre at Berkshire College of Agriculture in Maidenhead on a part-time permanent basis. The role involves 16 hours per week (Fridays and Saturdays) with a salary within the G17–G19 scale (pro rata for part-time).

The successful candidate will care for horses, support teaching, supervise yard sessions and assist with equipment and risk assessments, while meeting Level 3 equine qualifications and Level 2 English

Qualifications

• Level 3 equine qualification with Level 2 English and Maths.
• Practical experience handling a range of horses.
• Solid IT skills and administrative capability.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high welfare standards and daily stable routines.
• Exercise horses and supervise practical yard sessions.
• Support student learning and assist with equipment for lessons.
• Manage yard resources and perform risk assessments.
