The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking an Equine Yard Technician for Berkshire College of Agriculture in Maidenhead. The role is part-time (16 hours per week) on Fridays and Saturdays all year round, with responsibilities spanning horse care, yard management, and assisting teaching staff.

Requirements include a Level 3 in equine studies and Level 2 in English and Maths, plus practical horse-handling experience. Safeguarding checks and DBS are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in equine subject
• Level 2 English and Maths
• Solid administrative skills and IT proficiency

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of horse welfare and daily stable routines
• Exercise horses and identify veterinary or farrier needs
• Support student learning by demonstrating techniques and supervising practical yard sessions
