Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group (TWFCG) is seeking an Equine Yard Technician for the Equestrian Centre at Berkshire College of Agriculture. The role is 16 hours per week, Fridays and Saturdays, on a permanent basis, within the Support Staff pay scale.

The post involves direct horse care, assisting teaching, supervising yard sessions, and course support for students with safeguarding and inclusive teaching at its core.

Qualifications

• Level 3 equine qualification and Level 2 English and Maths required.
• Practical experience handling a range of horses.
• Solid administrative skills and IT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of horse welfare and daily stable routines.
• Exercise horses and supervise practical yard sessions.
• Support student learning and demonstrate core techniques.
• Prepare equipment for daily lessons across the Equestrian Centre.
• Assist with risk assessments to maintain a safe environment.
