Job summary

Sense College Bedford is hiring an Education Support Worker to assist learners with complex disabilities. The role involves helping learners develop independence, participate in activities, and meet EHCP goals within a supportive classroom.

Expect 22.5 hours per week over 39 weeks, with a salary of £14 per hour and daytime hours 9:00am–4:30pm. Initially for one year, with potential extension depending on numbers.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths.
• Experience in person-centred planning and achieving learner goals.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and supporting personal care.

Responsibilities

• Support learners to participate in meaningful educational activities.
• Assist with personal care, health and wellbeing as needed.
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and person-centred planning.
• Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
