Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for part-time hours, delivering Waitrose produce and providing excellent customer service at customers' doors. You’ll start your day in-store and support stock and shop tasks when not on deliveries.

Role targets include efficient routing, vehicle readiness, and brand representation with a strong emphasis on safety and service. DBS checks may apply, with flexible hours where possible.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages).
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day and plan your schedule.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring orders are complete and ready for customers.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and safety.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Help customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support the in-store team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
