Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality to customers’ doors. You will combine great service with efficient deliveries while supporting shop colleagues with daily tasks.

Part-time hours (20 hours) across seven days, early starts and weekends may be involved. You will be an ambassador for the John Lewis Waitrose brand, delivering friendly, reliable service and maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong time management abilities.
• Able to cope with physical aspects of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
• Able to work independently with self-motivation and adaptivity.
• IT literate and comfortable using basic tech.

Responsibilities

• Check daily delivery routes.
• Load and prepare the van for deliveries and deliver orders to customers.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance and safety.
• Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service on the road.
• Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust.
• Support the shop team with general duties when required.
