Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality to customers’ doors. You will load vans, check routes and deliver orders with a strong focus on service and safety.

Part-time hours are 15 per week across various shifts, including weekends. You’ll support the shop team when needed and act as a brand ambassador on the road, demonstrating the Partnership ethos at every doorstep.

Qualifications

• Full valid UK B-category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Checking your delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
• Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
• Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority.
• Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service.
• Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.
