Job summary

John Lewis Partnership, via Waitrose, is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring high-quality produce and partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. This part-time role (15 hours/week) includes finishing shifts like 14:15–22:15 on Mondays and Tuesdays, with duties that blend in-store stocking and on-road customer service.

You’ll drive modern, well-maintained vehicles, prioritise safety, and contribute to a friendly, professional customer experience while supporting flexible working

Qualifications

Must be 18 or older.
Full valid UK manual car driving licence (B-category) with up to 6 penalty points.
Excellent people skills and friendly customer service approach.
Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting crates, stairs, up to ~18kg).

Responsibilities

Start in-store, then deliver to customers with a friendly Waitrose brand presence.
Communicate with customers about changes to orders and process refunds when needed.
Handle products with care and ensure safe delivery.
Ensure customers are not charged extra for substitutions.
Assist customers with groceries and build trusting relationships.
Familiarise yourself with daily delivery route.
Carry out van safety checks and stay road-ready.
Support wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when off the road.
