Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in Worthing is looking for a part-time Customer Delivery Driver to bring Waitrose quality and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. You’ll be active and customer-facing, with store tasks when not on the road and a focus on safety, care and reliability.

Varied hours, including early starts and weekends, 22 hours per week, with flexible working where possible. You’ll join a friendly, inclusive team that values presentation and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older for this kind of work.
• Full UK manual car driving licence (B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Bring awesome people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be ready for some physical work, involving lifting crates and moving items up to ~18kg.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road—great customer service is your number one goal!
• Chat with customers about any changes to their order and sort out refunds if needed.
• Handle products with care, treating them like your own.
• Ensure customers are not charged extra for substituted items when applicable.
• Help customers with groceries and build trusting relationships.
• Familiarise yourself with the delivery route for the day.
• Carry out a full safety check on the van and stay road-ready.
• Assist the wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when not driving.
