Job summary

John Lewis Partnership’s Waitrose delivery driver role puts you at customers' doors, delivering quality produce with partner-led service. This is a highly active, physical, customer-facing job where safety and a tidy, professional appearance matter.

When not on the road you’ll help in the CFC with warehouse tasks and support flexible working arrangements. Part-time weekend shifts are available (15 hours per week) with AM and PM slots, start times 5:00–8:00am or 12:00–15:30pm.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older.
• Hold a full, valid UK manual car driving licence (B-category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Bring awesome people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be ready for physical work, lifting crates and moving items up to 18kg.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while you're on the road—great customer service is your number one goal!
• Chat with customers about any changes to their order (substitutions/short-dated items) and arrange refunds if needed.
• Handle all products with care and deliver safely.
• Explain substitutions clearly and assure customers they won't be charged extra.
• Help customers with groceries and build trusted relationships.
• Familiarise yourself with your daily delivery route and perform basic safety checks on the van.
• Assist the wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when not on deliveries.
