Job summary

Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is hiring a part-time Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to work 30 hours per week in a male Low Secure Unit. You will manage your own caseload, deliver assessments, formulations, and both long- and short-term interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves individual and group therapy, participation in MDTs, and contributing to care planning and service development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and eligible for Chartered status with the British Psychological Society
• Experience in using psychological models and theories to address a range of risk and behavioural issues

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload, including complex service-users.
• Attend regular clinical and service development meetings (MDTs, CPAs, referrals, and other hospital-wide meetings).
• Be an integral part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team on the Male LSU.
• Provide both long- and short-term assessments and treatments.
• Deliver individual and group therapy with patients.
• Maintain monthly clinical supervision and regular line-management supervision.
• Provide clinical supervision to other therapy staff and support reflective practice.
• Contribute to MDT/ICR writings and to development and review of care plans.
• Offer specialist clinical advice and contribute to audit and research as directed.
