Job summary

Thornford Park in Thatcham, part of Elysium Healthcare, is seeking a Senior Forensic Social Worker to manage a caseload of forensic service users and lead safeguarding within a multidisciplinary team.

You will coordinate assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals and Managers Hearings, while liaising with MAPPA and Local Authority partners. A DBS and Social Work England registration are required.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
• Liaise with external agencies to fulfil statutory duties (MAPPA, Local Authority, Police, Probation).
• Support carers and families of detained patients.
• Lead safeguarding investigations and deliver safeguarding training.
• Supervise qualified social workers within additional responsibilities.
