Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cleaner for the Thermo-Fisher Scientific site in Crawley. The role focuses on delivering high-standard cleaning across designated areas, including laundry and waste duties, following all health, safety and hygiene procedures.

We value reliability, attention to detail and a proactive, customer-service approach. The position is permanent, part-time (20 hours/week) with shifts Monday to Friday and pays £14.50 per hour. GMP/COSHH knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Reliable, trustworthy and proactive with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, can-do attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Previous professional cleaning experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH, PPE and safe cleaning practices would be beneficial.
• Experience using cleaning machinery or carrying out specialist/GMP cleaning is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning, laundry and waste duties to a high standard.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic areas across the site.
• Use cleaning products, equipment and PPE safely, following COSHH requirements.
• Follow all site procedures, including health and safety, security and hygiene standards.
• Report equipment faults, building defects and safety hazards promptly.
• Work independently and as part of the wider team to deliver excellent service.
