Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting for a Production Cleaning Operative in a GMP environment at the Catalent Pharma Solutions site in Swindon. The role runs full time, with 42 hours per week across 4 days out of 7, 7am to 7pm, and pays £12.96 per hour.

You will deliver cleaning services in line with GMP standards, supporting safe and compliant operations on site. Key responsibilities include executing scheduled cleaning tasks, following SOPs, using PPE correctly, and reporting any faults or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience within a GMP, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment is desirable.
• Understanding of hygiene standards, COSHH, and safe working practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to prioritise workload effectively.
• A positive, hands-on attitude with a focus on delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks across designated production and support areas.
• Work in accordance with GMP standards, site procedures, and infection control requirements.
• Follow all cleaning methods using task cards, SOPs, and training guidance.
• Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to COSHH regulations.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas.
• Report faults with cleaning equipment or machinery to the Hygiene Supervisor.
• Identify and report any building defects or health and safety concerns.
• Complete tasks in line with daily schedules and supervisor direction.
• Support continuous improvement by maintaining consistent service standards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to support overall site operations.
