Job summary

MAN Commercial Protection are seeking CCTV Control Room Operators for one of the UK's largest control rooms, monitoring over 2500 cameras across the West Midlands. Shifts are Thursday to Saturday, 20:00 to 06:00, with a pay rate of £13.23 per hour.

You will patrol cameras, coordinate with emergency services and assist police by locating and saving footage for investigations. This role requires excellent communication, strong IT skills and a professional manner to liaise with emergency services,

Qualifications

• CCTV badge is essential.
• Dual badge is advantageous.

• Strong IT skills (Microsoft products).
• Excellent phone manner.

• Able to work on own initiative.
• 5-year checkable work and education history.
• Must hold a valid CCTV licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patrols of the cameras throughout the West Midlands.
• Aid the emergency services in live situations.
• Assist Police by searching and saving footage for investigations.
• Incident handler for local council Out of Hours - dealing with social services and others.
• Communicate with local towns via radio.
• Take emergency calls from public via help points in the control room.
• Update the public via social media on WM updates.
• Respond to email requests for footage and information.
• Work with Highways England on traffic management.
• Be responsible for alarm calls across the West Midlands.

MAN Commercial Protection are looking for CCTV Control Room Operators in one of the biggest control rooms in the UK, covering over 2500 cameras around the West Midlands.

Shift pattern: Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Shift timings: 20:00-06:00

Payrate: £13.23ph

Coverage focuses mainly on West Midlands Transport, but also focusing on towns and city centres around the West Midlands. You will patrol cameras and be on the alert for all types of crimes. You will be dealing with emergency services on a daily basis aiding in live incidents, so a strong level of communication is required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carry out patrols of the cameras throughout the West Midlands.
• Aiding the emergency services in live situations.
• Aiding Police by searching and saving footage for vital information for their investigations.
• Incident handler for local council Out of Hours - Dealing with social services and other organisations to aid members of the public.
• Communicate with local town hosts and shops by radio.
• Take emergency calls from the public via emergency help points in the control room.
• Updating the public via social media of any updates in the West Midlands.
• Respond to email requests for footage and information.
• Working in conjunction with Highways England dealing with traffic management.
• Be responsible for alarm calls across the West Midlands.
