Bedfordshire Employment And Skills Academy (besa) in Central Bedfordshire is seeking a part-time CCTV Officer to join the Community Safety team. You will operate and monitor the Council's public space CCTV system, overseeing more than 300 cameras located across public areas, Council buildings and partner locations.

The role focuses on preventing crime, reducing anti-social behaviour, and supporting local policing by providing live footage, recordings, and data in line with GDPR and relevant

Qualifications

• Proven observation and quick decision-making under pressure.
• Strong communication with police and partner agencies.
• Good IT skills and accurate record keeping.
• Understanding of data protection and evidential procedures.
• Experience in CCTV control room operations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and operate the CCTV system to identify incidents and respond appropriately.
• Conduct proactive surveillance of public spaces and monitored locations.
• Support Police with live incidents and evidential footage in line with GDPR.
• Collaborate with Council services and partner agencies to ensure service delivery.
• Process requests for CCTV footage from authorised agencies and maintain logs.
• Provide real-time monitoring and operational support during emergencies and events.
