Job summary

Hope Haven in Whitehaven is seeking a Case Worker to provide a safe, welcoming environment for people accessing the service, both in person and by phone. You will use de-escalation and active listening to support individuals in crisis, helping them develop skills to cope and navigate life challenges while safeguarding mental health.

This role requires travel around the Copeland area, part-time 15 hours weekly, with enhanced pay for unsocial hours.

Qualifications

• Experience providing one-to-one support to individuals with complex needs.
• Understanding of health and social care systems and local pathways.
• Awareness of recovery models and stigma, with emphasis on inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Co-produce and support personalised crisis plans and self-management tools.
• Provide signposting and guidance to access services based on needs.
• Develop understanding of local care pathways and networks.
• Encourage independent peer-support and recovery.
• Maintain clear documentation and engage in supervision and training.
• Carry out additional duties to support service development.
