Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a part-time Care & Support Worker to assist residents with personalised support across Sandown and surrounding areas. Role involves evenings, weekends and potential sleep-in duties, with pro-rata salary reflecting part-time hours.

You’ll work within a CQC-regulated environment, promoting dignity, independence and inclusion, while building trusted relationships with residents and colleagues. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy and a caring approach.
• Clear communication with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a regulated care environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends and sleep-in duties if required.
• GCSEs including Maths and English; NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and support across our housing schemes and community settings.
• Work to individual care plans, promoting independence and inclusion.
• Respond appropriately in emergencies and maintain safeguarding responsibilities.
• Complete accurate records and reports with basic IT skills.
