Job summary

Lofthouse Surgery is seeking a Care Navigator/Receptionist to join our busy team at Lofthouse Site and The Manse Rothwell Site. The role is 30 hours per week across five days (Mon-Fri), 12:30–18:30.

Flexibility to work between sites and hours is required within the practice day of 07:45–18:30. The successful candidate will be first point of contact for patients, providing both face-to-face and telephone support, with reception/customer service experience desirable.

Qualifications

• Reception experience / customer service desirable, but training will be given.
• Have a good standard of education and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• To receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional, in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
• Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
• Act as a Care Navigator, signposting patients to appropriate NHS services or appropriate Health Professional to meet their needs.
• Support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the organisation.
