Job summary

Curaa Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role (2–3 days per week) at one of its care homes in England. The role requires hands-on maintenance, timely repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

You will inspect and maintain building systems, oversee budgets, and liaise with contractors to keep the home running smoothly. A proactive, positive attitude is essential to support residents' dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Fix minor repairs and complete audit tasks promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Carry out tests and checks for building systems weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Maintain and repair the care home and perform planned maintenance and light refurbishments.
• Look after the home’s surrounding grounds and keep pathways safe and clear.
• Ensure lighting and signage are functioning and visible.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Create and adhere to budgets.
• Identify and report maintenance defects.
• Verify operability of heating, lighting, plumbing and essential non-medical equipment.
