Job summary

Curaa is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for a part-time role (2-3 days a week) at a care home. You will perform routine repairs, audits, and preventative maintenance across building systems, grounds, and safety features to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will liaise with contractors, manage basic budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety rules. The role emphasizes reliability and hands-on problem solving in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance knowledge in building systems.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and audits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs and audit requirements in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Perform tests/checks for home systems weekly to annually.
• Maintain home maintenance and handle installations of equipment.
• Maintain surrounding grounds and ensure safety of paths and driveways.
• Check lighting and signage inside and outside for safety and visibility.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Create and adhere to budgets.
• Identify and report maintenance defects and problems.
• Ensure operability of heating, lighting, plumbing and non-medical equipment.
