Job summary

Oakbank Care Home in Crieff is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the building safe, well maintained and comfortable. You will carry out a wide range of tasks across the building and grounds, performing repairs, electrical checks and general upkeep, both independently and with the team.

This hands-on role focuses on safety, compliance and a welcoming environment, with a PVG check paid, pension, uniform provided and generous annual leave. Part-time hours are 16 per week over two days.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities or similar role.
• Basic knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Proactive and practical approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across building and grounds, including repairs and upkeep.
• Perform basic electrical checks and assist with installations.
• Ensure equipment and systems are safe and functioning, respond to issues promptly.
• Work with the team to support planned maintenance and health and safety compliance.
