Job summary

Springcare Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Person to join our team and help provide a safe, well-maintained home for our residents. The role involves varied daily duties from building repairs to routine checks and preventative maintenance, with opportunities for training and career progression.

The successful candidate will have strong maintenance skills, a pro-active attitude, and a good understanding of Health & Safety regulations. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong written and spoken communication with residents and colleagues.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in general maintenance tasks and basic carpentry/plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and general building repair (fixing locks, doors, fittings).
• Carry out routine checks on equipment and services (fire alarms, extinguishers, fire doors).
• Minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Painting and decorating.
• Exterior upkeep and tidying of home environment.
• Change light bulbs; monitor stock of bulbs, batteries and tools.
• Check that lights and equipment are functioning before weekends/bank holidays.
• Provide meter readings for utilities and boilers.
