Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join Willow Court in Harpenden. The role covers 28 hours per week with shifts 9am–2pm and 2pm–5pm, including alternate weekends, at a rate of £13.08 per hour on weekdays and £13.58 per hour on weekends.

You will maintain high cleanliness standards across the home, support residents’ comfort and wellbeing, and follow health and safety policies to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience or willingness to learn cleaning skills.
• Positive, caring attitude towards residents.
• Excellent attention to detail and cleaning standards.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Reliability, flexibility and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home and ensure residents are safe and have a welcoming environment.
• Provide housekeeping duties including sanitising rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, changing and making beds, and waste disposal.
• Assist with laundry duties including replenishing linen and supplies.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
