Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an EYFS practitioner/support worker to join the school’s EYFS unit in Atherstone, working every afternoon from 2:30pm to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, through to half term. You will contribute to creating a nurturing, stimulating environment and support children’s development and wellbeing.

Role requires enhanced DBS, Level 3 EYFS qualification, safeguarding and allergy training, EYFS knowledge, and references from the last 2 years.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the updated service
• Minimum level 3 EYFS qualification
• Up-to-date safeguarding and allergy training
• Solid knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• References covering the last 2 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Support children within the EYFS unit during the afternoon session.
• Work alongside the class teacher and EYFS team to support learning and development.
• Help children engage with activities, play and learning opportunities.
• Provide encouragement and positive interaction to help children develop confidence and independence.
• Support children's social, emotional and communication development.
• Maintain a safe, calm and welcoming environment.
• Assist with classroom routines and organisation.
• Support individual children's needs where required.
