Job summary

Ongar Health Centre is recruiting an Administrator/Clinical Coder to join their team for 22 hours per week (Mon, Wed, Fri; hours to be confirmed). The role involves coding patient information into the practice system and handling standard administrative duties within the SystmOne environment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and discretion essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in administrative support within a clinical setting.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
• Experience with clinical coding is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Summarise and read code related information from patient records into the practice system.
• Process and manage incoming correspondence including letters and electronic documents.
• Sort letters for scanning and batch them for processing.
• Ensure appropriate documents are flagged for GP review and record linkage.
• Handle information requests and respond to telephone enquiries with discretion.
• Support GDPR compliance and keep patient information up to date.
