Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC is recruiting a Senior Administration / Clinical Coder for HMP Liverpool. This part-time role (15 hours) involves coding clinical data, audits, and supporting the Head of Healthcare to meet QOF targets.

The post requires NHS AfC Band 4 level, and experience with clinical coding, READ codes, and SystmOne. Role supports a diverse healthcare team, with NHS pension and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education to 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
• Experience with READ codes and QOF indicators.
• NHS experience and ability to work in a sensitive health environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of coded clinical data on the clinical information system.
• Act as first point of contact regarding the coding system and liaise with relevant disciplines on issues.
• Assist in auditing coding policies to ensure compliance and quality of information.
• Support training of staff and promote best practices for data quality.
• Assist clinicians with GDPR subject access requests and information governance tasks.
• Promote the coding service and access to SystmOne records to support operations and legal requirements.
• Ensure department complies with policies and current legislation.
