Qualifications

  • Masters in Architecture (Part 2 Qualified).
  • Experience within residential projects and exposure to RIBA Stages 0 to 4.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering project briefs.
  • Produce 2D and 3D design information.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for project delivery.
  • Assist with technical drawing packages for Building Regulations.

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Location: Essex

Salary: £27-33,000

We are working with a progressive and expanding architecture practice based in Essex that is seeking a motivated and talented 2 Architectural Assistant to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will be passionate about architecture, eager to progress towards qualification, and committed to delivering high quality design solutions for clients. You will gain hands‑on exposure across all RIBA Work Stages, with a clear structure in place to support your career development and long term progression within the practice. In order to be considered for this role, you must hold a full, clean driving licence and be within a commutable distance to Essex.

Your Role Will Include
  • Attending site visits and client meetings to assist in gathering project briefs
  • Producing 2D and 3D design information for planning submissions
  • Coordinating with external consultants to support smooth project delivery
  • Assisting with technical drawing packages for Building Regulations submissions
  • Supporting the practice at networking and industry events
  • Assisting with enquiries from new and prospective clients
  • Managing multiple tasks and deadlines with growing independence
  • Providing support to the director with project coordination and general office duties
What We're Looking For
  • Masters in Architecture (Part 2 Qualified)
  • Experience within residential projects and exposure to RIBA Stages 0 to 4
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Good working knowledge of Planning Policy and Building Regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation and time management abilities
  • Confident and professional when dealing with clients and consultants
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Candidates must be based locally to Essex or within a commutable distance
