About the Role
A leading London local authority is seeking an experienced Parking Services Officer to join its busy Parking Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong knowledge of Penalty Charge Notice processing, parking legislation and customer correspondence. The role will be mostly remote, although occasional attendance at the council’s offices, meetings or tribunal hearings may be required depending on service needs.
You will be responsible for investigating and responding to PCN-related correspondence, including challenges, representations and appeals. You will ensure decisions are accurate, fair and compliant with the Traffic Management Act 2004, associated legislation and relevant policies and procedures.
The role will also involve authorising parking bay suspensions, issuing temporary parking waivers and supporting basic financial administration across the Parking Service.
This role is predominantly remote, offering flexibility for candidates who are able to work effectively from home. Occasional attendance may be required at the council’s offices in West London, internal meetings, service-related events or London Tribunals hearings.
Candidates must be able to attend in person when reasonably required by the service.
