Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide, part of the Royal Mail Group, is seeking a part-time depot operative in Middlesbrough. The role covers unloading/loading and sorting parcels with a focus on accuracy and reliability. Typical hours are 16:00–20:00, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities.

Starting salary is £25,201 per year (£12.71 per hour), rising after six months to £27,561 (£13.94 per hour). Potential earnings can reach around £30,000 per year with overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence (Cat B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30 kg.
• Good customer focus and being a team player.
• Willingness to work overtime.

What you'll be doing

• Unloading / Loading parcels
• Sorting parcels to correct delivery route / preparing trailer ready for the drivers / onward transport
• Providing a friendly, dependable service - whether it's a birthday gift or important business mail

What we're looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Someone with good attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
