Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide in Preston is seeking a part-time Warehouse Operative to join our courier network. You will unload and load parcels, sort them to delivery routes, and prepare trailers for drivers, ensuring accurate loading and safe handling of goods.

Starting salary is £25,201 per year with progression to £27,561 after six months and potential to earn up to £30,000 per year with overtime. Weekend premiums apply, plus a range of company benefits and a comprehensive pension plan.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer focused.
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 16.5 [[zworkinghours and days]], with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is Saturday 00:01 - 08:01 - Sunday 23:00 - 07:30.

Location: Parcelforce Worldwide, Walton Summit Centre Bamber Bridge, Preston - PR5 8AN

Why this role pays off:

Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour
After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour
Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours
Paid weekday and weekend overtime
Additional Allowances:-
o Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
o Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)
