Job summary

Royal Mail in Taunton is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver on a fixed-term contract for nine months. You will deliver parcels with a focus on customer service, using route-planning tools, and maintaining your van and schedule.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points), the ability to work 30 hours across 5 days, including Saturdays and Sundays on a local rota, and afternoon/evening shifts. A supportive benefits package is provided.

Location: Taunton Delivery Office, TA1 1AA

Job type: Fixed Term contract for nine months

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 15:00 and 21:00. Sundays will be working between 14:00 and 20:00.

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
