Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver in Ramsgate. You will deliver parcels across your route, prepare and plan loads, and use route-planning tools to ensure on-time delivery. This is a fixed-term contract with Sunday work and a starting hourly rate.

You should be self-motivated, organized and committed to great customer service, with a full UK driving licence and up to 6 penalty points. Uniform is provided and there are avenues for progression.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels on your route and prep your van each day.
• Use route-planning tools to ensure timely deliveries across the area.
• Represent Royal Mail as a positive ambassador when interacting with customers.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items in line with standards.

Hours: 08:40 hours per week, working Sundays only 09:00 and 17:40

A bit about you

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
