Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver for a 6 Month Fixed Term contract based at Sittingbourne Delivery Office (ME10 4AA). Hours are Sundays, 08:40 start, finishing around 17:40, with a guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68 and duties including loading, route planning and customer deliveries.

You will be a friendly ambassador, handle multi‑drop deliveries, wear the uniform, and enjoy a company pension, family‑friendly benefits and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Able to work independently and in the afternoon/evening.
• Able to handle multi-drop deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels on the assigned route daily.
• Prepare van and workload, use route-planning tools.
• Provide excellent customer service as a Royal Mail ambassador.
• Work Sundays and adhere to shift times.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
