Job summary

Royal Mail Group is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver for a fixed term of 6 months at Caterham Delivery Office. The role involves loading and prepping the van, delivering parcels to customers in the assigned area, and following a local rota that includes weekends. The current pay rate is £16.24 per hour, with 22.5 days holiday pro rata and benefits.

Hours are 13:55–19:55 across five days. Ideal candidates are independent, organised, and customer-focused, comfortable working afternoons/evenings,

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent customer service mindset.
• Able to work afternoons and evenings and weekends.
• Organised and punctual with good initiative.

Responsibilities

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 13:55 and 19:55

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
