Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver for the Southport Delivery Office on a fixed-term contract of 6 months. The role is 30 hours per week across five days, with afternoon and early evening shifts and weekend work as required by a local rota.

You will prep your van, use route-planning tools, and deliver parcels in the assigned area while delivering friendly customer service. A full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required.

Hours: 30 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 14:40 and 20:30

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
