Job summary

Royal Mail Group is recruiting a Parcel Delivery Driver in Barnsley for a fixed-term 6-month contract. The role is 30 hours per week across five days, between 8am and 8pm, with Saturday and Sunday work as part of a local rota.

You'll prep your van, use route-planning tools and deliver parcels while delivering excellent customer service and representing Royal Mail positively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels as part of a multi-drop route across the week.

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between8am and 8pm

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

A bit about you

• Upbeat, self-motivated and thrive whilst working independently

• Happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings
• Enjoy a multi drop driving role, delivering parcels across the week in the assigned area
• Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
