Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver at Patchway Delivery Office on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver parcels and prepare your van using route‑planning tools to ensure on‑time delivery.

Hours are 28 per week, with shifts across Monday to Sunday including afternoons and Sundays; a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required. Uniform is provided and a competitive hourly rate applies.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willing to work afternoons/evenings and weekends.
• Experience delivering to customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels on assigned route and load van for the day.
• Prepare vehicle and workload using route-planning tools.
• Interact with customers and represent Royal Mail positively.

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Hours: 28:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working Monday - Saturday between 14:30-20:00 and Sundays 11:00-18:00

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
