Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Horsham is recruiting a Parcel Delivery Driver on a permanent contract for 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Sunday with a 13:00–19:00 window. You’ll deliver parcels, prep the van, and use route-planning tools to hit the right place on time.

Shifts include weekend work per local rota; Sundays may be 3 in 5 depending on the plan. Loyal customer service and a positive ambassador for Royal Mail are expected.

Qualifications

• Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to work afternoon and early evening shifts.
• Thrives working independently and as part of a local area team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels on your assigned route using route-planning tools.
• Prepare your van and workload for the day.
• Interact with customers as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
• Work Saturdays and Sundays as required by rota.

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Sundays would currently be 3 in 5 but this may change.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
